No site actually serves MP3. StreamGarden decodes the audio and re-encodes it on your phone with a built-in LAME encoder, then writes the title, artist and thumbnail into the file.

Installing
It's an APK, so there's one extra step.
StreamGarden isn't on the Play Store, so Android asks your permission before installing it. That's normal for apps installed outside the store.
1 · Download the file
Tap the download button. Chrome may warn that this type of file can harm your device — that warning appears for every APK. Choose Download anyway.
2 · Open it and allow
Tap the downloaded file. If Android says installs from this source are blocked, tap Settings, turn the permission on, and go back. Then tap Install.

- Extraction
- Runs on the device with NewPipeExtractor and an embedded JavaScript engine that executes the site's own player code to solve the stream cipher. Your phone's IP does the talking, so it isn't blocked the way hosted downloaders are.
- Merging
- Android MediaMuxer, stream copy only — no re-encode, no generation loss.
- MP3
- Decoded with MediaCodec, re-encoded by a bundled LAME, tagged with ID3v2 (title, artist, cover art).
- Transfer
- Parallel ranged chunks over OkHttp, with cancel, quality switching mid-download and live progress.
- Music player
- A foreground service with MediaSession — background playback, notification, lock-screen, headset and Bluetooth controls.

- Resolved through a Cobalt instance. Public ones are built in; point it at your own for reliability.

Why isn't it on the Play Store?
Google's Device and Network Abuse policy doesn't allow apps that download content from platforms like YouTube. That's why NewPipe, Seal and every similar app are distributed the same way — as an APK, outside the store.
Is it safe to install?
The full source is public, so nothing is hidden. It requests no camera, microphone, location or contacts access — check the permission list yourself before installing.
Does it collect my data?
No accounts, no analytics, no ads. The app registers a device identifier so the developer can push update notices — nothing about you, your files or your activity is collected.
Where do my files go?
Into Downloads/StreamGarden on your phone's own storage — visible to every file manager, gallery and music player. They're ordinary files; the app doesn't lock them in.
How do updates work?
Come back here and install the newer APK over your current one — nothing is lost. The app also shows a notice inside when a new version is out.
Instagram or Facebook isn't downloading. Why?
Those platforms have no public API, so they're resolved through a shared Cobalt server that can be busy or rate-limited. Running your own takes about ten minutes and makes them reliable.
Can I download things I don't own the rights to?
The app is a tool, and it doesn't decide that for you. Downloading copyrighted material can breach a platform's terms and your local law. Use it for your own content, for licensed and public-domain material, and for things you're allowed to keep offline.
